
Jennifer Grey (born March 26, 1960) is an American actress. After her debut as an actor in 1984's Reckless, she was able to be noticed in the comedy film for teens Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986). Her fame grew worldwide for starring as Frances Houseman in the romantic drama film Dirty Dancing (1987), which was a winner of an Golden Globe Award nomination. Red Dawn (1984), The Cotton Club (1889), Bloodhounds of Broadway (1989), Redbelt (2008) and Redbelt (2000) were her other film features. Grey's television work started with Murder in Mississippi (1990), Criminal Justice (1989) and If the Shoe Fits (2019). She also starred as Kelly Carter in the comedy Red Oaks on Amazon Prime Video. Grey has also performed voice-overs in film and television, appearing in the 2018 film Duck Duck Goose and the animated television show Phineas and Ferb in 2008.
