Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande-Butera (/,a:ri'a:n@ 'gra:ndeI/ 'gra:ndeI/@ GRAHN-day;[note 1] born on June 26th the 26th of June, 1993) is an American performer, songwriter and actress. The four-octave range of her voice and distinctive use of whistle registers have been highly praised by the journalists and critics. Grande has won numerous awards throughout her career including two Grammy Awards and one Brit Award. She also received three American Music Awards, three Billboard Music Awards and nine MTV Video Music Awards.
Grande began her career in music at the age of 15 years old in the Broadway musical 13 (2008 Broadway). She gained fame playing Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious (2010-2013) and Sam & Cat (2013-2014). Grande signed with Republic Records in 2011 after company executives had viewed YouTube videos of her performing songs. The US Billboard 200 topped Grande's 1950s R&B-influenced pop and R&B debut album, [2] Yours Truly (2013). The single "The Way" has risen to the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. Grande's voice and whistle sounds in the album were immediately compared with Mariah Carey.
In her third and fourth studio albums, My Everything (2014), and Dangerous Woman (2016), she continued to explore pop as well as R&B. My Everything experimented with EDM and became a huge hit due to the singles "Problem", "Break Free" and "Bang Bang" and Dangerous Woman became her first of four consecutive number-one albums in the UK. Personal struggles led to her trap-infused fourth (2018) and fifth studio albums, Sweetener (2018), which were both commercial and critical triumphs. Sweetener was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album as well as Thank U Next set a record for the most streamed week for a popular album and was nominated for Album of the Year. Grande was the first solo artist to make it to the top three positions on the Hot 100 and become the first woman to achieve the top position in the UK Singles Chart with the singles "Thank U. Next", "7 Rings" and "Break up with Your Girlfriend. Grande broke the Hot 100 record for the highest number one debuts when she released Justin Bieber's collaboration for 2020 "Stuck with U" with Lady Gaga. The latter received the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Grande extended her trap music genre with her sixth studio album, Positions (2020), which , along with the album's title track debuted at number one in both the UK as well as the US. Grande collaborated with The Weeknd to make the remix of "Save Your Tears" in 2021. This was her sixth number-one US single.
